ACL: Match Day 2 Preview

After a disappointing Match Day 1 for both Melbourne Victory and Sanfeece Hiroshima, the two will meet in Japan on Tuesday, March 12, for an epic Match Day 2 clash.

Sanfreece finished second in the J-League during the 2018 season behind Kashima Antlers and qualified for the Champions League through a play-off game against Thailand team Chiangrai United. That game went to penalties and Sanfreece won 4-3.

Sanfreece met Guanghzou Evergrande in Match Day 1 of the Champions League. Guangzhou’s Brazilian superstars Anderson Talisca and Paulinho both found the net for the Chinese side, which saw them cruise to a 2-0 win.

Victory are looking to bounce back after a 3-1 loss at home against Korean side Daegu FC. Ola Toivonen opened the scoring in the 29th minute, however it Cesinha leveled the scoring 2 minutes later. Two second half goals from Daegu proved to be too much for Victory.
